Cooperation with the Arifmetika Dobra charity

Goal

Support the foundation in addressing the orphanhood problems: until 2020, it focused mainly on children in the care of state institutions and gradually developed adoption programmes. The fund's strategy until 2025 prioritises assistance to the adoption of children and mentoring, with the so-called "prevention of orphanhood" (moderation of crises in non-adoptive families) becoming a new area of activity.

Problem

The orphanhood is one of the most acute problems of the Russian society. In 2014, Roman Avdeev, a well-known Russian businessman and the beneficial owner of MKB, created the Arifmetika Dobra charity. Every day, it seeks to ensure that children in orphanages get a chance for a decent future.

MKB's contribution

For many years, MKB has been successfully cooperating with the Arifmetika Dobra charity. Since the latter's inception, MKB has been actively involved in its activities and initiatives, running various joint events and campaigns, in particular among its own employees, and participating in the fund's corporate events, such as charity races and tournaments.

The cooperation with the fund goes beyond financial support and participation in some campaigns and events. MKB has enabled donations to the fund within its ecosystem, in particular through its website, customer online accounts, terminals and the Android / IOS-based mobile app. Such donations can be made directly, both in roubles and in loyalty bonus points.

MKB's donation solutions for the fund are uniquely easy and time-saving: money or bonuses can be transferred in 2 clicks through customer online accounts or the mobile app (without following the fund's links or filling in the payer or card details). The bank, in its turn, gives special perks to clients who transfer their cashback to charity programmes (for example, extra bonus points).

In 2020, MKB decided to go for a joint project with the Foundation, allowing 100 teenagers each year to benefit from the educational programme "Chance". The knowledge given in orphanages is rarely enough to get access to higher education: additional tutoring is needed to get prepared for the entrance exams. The programme includes regular individual online classes with tutors covering subjects of the school curriculum, as well as an on-site campus and face-to-face trainings aimed at developing the skills necessary to live independently. For more information about the project, see the "Chance" section.
